Sustainability is aparigraha in daily practice. Exclusively for followers of Satvik principles. Every desk, cot and cycle that changes hands here is one that nobody has to manufacture, ship or bury.
Old principles, everyday shape

Keep what you use, release what you do not. A cupboard full of unused things is weight, not wealth. Passing it on to someone who needs it is the practice, not the sacrifice. |

Every new object costs something living: land, water, air, labour. Buying secondhand is the quietest way to take less from all of them. |

Describe the scratch. Mention the missing screw. An honest listing is worth more than a fast sale, and this is a small community with a long memory. |

Price it fairly. No inflating because someone is desperate, no haggling someone down below what is decent. |

Before you list
- Clean it and test it. A working, wiped down item finds a home in days.
- One photo only, so choose the honest angle rather than the flattering one. Describe the flaws in the text.
- Price it to move, not to win. Something used and sitting in your hallway earns nothing.
- If it is small and low value, offer it free. Free things travel fastest and keep the most out of landfill.
- Include pickup area and a realistic window. Half of all deals fall apart on logistics, not price.
Before you buy
- Ask whether you would have bought it new this week. If not, you do not need it cheap either.
- Check you have the room and the intention to keep it for years.
- Repair beats replace. A broken handle or a worn belt is usually a ten dollar fix.
- When you are done with it, bring it back here rather than to the bin.
What we will not host
No brand new stock, no wholesale lots, no dropshipping, no reselling business inventory. This is neighbours passing things along, and the rules of the board are written to keep it that way. Anything that turns the community into a customer list gets removed.
If it does not sell
Try one price drop and one better photo. After that, offer it free here before you consider donating it. Textiles, electronics and furniture all have proper drop off points in the city, and almost none of them belong in household waste. Ask in the group; someone has usually made that trip already.
